Why we exist
Better food shouldn't require more complexity.
For years, our work with food manufacturers centred on ingredients. But the deeper conversations were rarely about ingredients alone.
Customers were dealing with limited NPD capacity, labour pressure, inconsistent production, rising costs, capacity constraints, complex customer briefs and the need to bring new products to market faster.
Supplying another ingredient was not always the answer.
Sometimes the better answer was to rethink the formulation, simplify the process or develop the product differently.
Knoxx Innovations was created to do exactly that.
What we believe
Food science has to work in the product and in the factory.
Food science should create commercial value
A formulation has to work beyond the laboratory. It must perform in the finished food and in the manufacturing environment.
Taste and manufacturing performance belong in the same conversation
A simpler process is not a success if the product suffers. A great-tasting prototype is not enough if it cannot be manufactured reliably.
Development works better when teams work together
Customer knowledge, culinary understanding and food science each contribute something different. Stronger solutions come from connecting them.

We develop specialist inputs, components and technical systems for manufacturers to use within their own products and operations.

Through Knoxx's ingredient-supply relationships, we worked closely with Australian food manufacturers and gained a practical view of the challenges inside commercial production.

Customer conversations increasingly moved beyond supply towards product development and new manufacturing approaches. Convenience, consistency, labour, cost and capacity became the subject.
That shift led to more applied development work and value-added food solutions.

As the development work became more specialised, Knoxx Innovations was established as a dedicated food science and R&D company with its own technical focus, development capability and intellectual property.
